retext software package provides Simple text editor for Markdown and reStructuredText, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install retext
retext is installed in your system.
Make ensure the retext package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep retext *
You will get with retext package name, version, architecture and description in a table
